Poptropicaslutz!’s the new 925 is the New York-based alt-pop duo’s sophomore album, set for release on March 28, 2025, via Epitaph Records. Comprising Christian Cicilia and Nicholas Crawford, the duo follows up their 2023 debut Face For The Radio with a project that refines their genre-blending sound—merging hyperpop, pop-punk, and rap with influences from early 2000s alternative, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, and A$AP Rocky.

poptropicaslutz! has shown that music just got better. He has won numerous awards from his previous songs and with the cooperation of his fans he hopes he can win more with this new song theme “ the new 925 album.

Produced by longtime collaborators Kodeblooded (Joey Khodanian) and Aldrch (Sam Richman), the album marks a shift toward their hip-hop roots while retaining nostalgic and emo-tinged elements from their earlier work. The duo has described it as a deliberate evolution, “killing the old poptropicaslutz!” yet preserving familiar vibes.

The concept loosely revolves around an escort named Alice and her employer’s unrequited longing, though a full narrative and tracklist remain unconfirmed as of March 24, 2025.

Announced on January 15, 2025, alongside the single “tryna get that kate moss 2025,” the album’s lead single “MDMA Keeps the Doctor Away” dropped in December 2024, earning praise from *Rolling Stone UK* for its rap-infused verses and melodic delivery. “tryna get that kate moss 2025” layers euphoric production with lyrics about shedding emotional baggage, framed through a gym metaphor. Both tracks showcase their signature glitchy, autotuned style.

While the exact number of tracks and runtime aren’t yet public, the album is available for pre-order in digital, CD, and vinyl formats via their website (poptropicaslutz.com). With over 50 million streams across their catalog, the new 925 builds on the momentum from their 2024 deluxe release Face For The Radio / Voice For A Silent Film* and standalone singles.

The duo, now LA transplants, aims to deliver a modern, experimental take on their sound, with fans anticipating more drops before the release date. Check their socials or Epitaph’s channels for updates as March 28 approaches.
