“Bells Larsen” has shown that music just got better. He has won numerous awards from his previous songs and with the cooperation of his fans he hopes he can win more with this new song theme “Blurring Time Album”.
Background :
“Blurring Time” is the sophomore album from Toronto-based singer-songwriter Bells Larsen. The project is deeply personal, reflecting Larsen’s journey of self-discovery and transition. It was recorded in two phases: the first in 2022, before Larsen began testosterone, and the second nearly three years later, harmonizing his pre- and post-transition vocal registers.
Collaborator Georgia Harmer contributed to arranging these harmonies, creating a unique blend of Larsen’s past and present voices. The album explores themes of identity, change, and the fluidity of time.
Themes and Style :
The album oscillates between lo-fi 90s indie influences and searing folk ballads. Its narrative captures a coming-of-age story that merges past and present selves rather than separating them. Larsen describes it as a “devotional” to the ever-evolving nature of identity, embracing both his old and new voices in harmony.
