Mayday Parade’s album Sweet is the first installment of a three-part album series, set to be released on April 18, 2025, as part of the band’s 20th anniversary celebrations. This marks their eighth full-length studio album and their first release since 2021’s *What It Means to Fall Apart*.

Notably, it’s also their first self-released project since their 2006 EP *Tales Told by Dead Friends*. Recorded with longtime producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount, *Sweet* features eight tracks that blend the band’s signature emo and pop-punk sound with fresh explorations into alt-rock, arena rock, and electro-pop influences.

Mayday Parade has shown that music just got better. He has won numerous awards from his previous songs and with the cooperation of his fans he hopes he can win more with this new song theme “Sweet ALBUM“.

The album has been previewed with singles like “By the Way,” a song about staying optimistic amidst change, and “Pretty Good to Feel Something” from 2023. “Towards You,” another single, is described as a simple love song with acoustic guitar and strings.

Frontman Derek Sanders has expressed excitement about the project, noting that it reflects the band’s growth over two decades and their ambition to push their sound forward. Vinyl pre-orders are available, with limited editions like the “Pink in Clear Color-in-Color” (300 units) and “Bubblegum” (1,500 units) offered through their official store.

This release kicks off a trilogy that will continue later in 2025 and into 2026, showcasing Mayday Parade’s enduring creativity and connection with their fanbase.
